Whitney views supervision as both a developmental and relational process. It is a place to strengthen knowledge of theory, clinical practice, and self while building a professional identity that feels grounded and sustainable.
Supervision is not always comfortable, and mistakes are often valuable learning opportunities. The goal is not perfection. The goal is greater competence, self-awareness, cultural humility, and the ability to provide ethical, high-quality care.

What is Whitney’s approach to clinical supervision?
Whitney uses a developmental, collaborative, and reflective approach. She balances support with accountability, encourages honest discussion and self-reflection, and adapts the focus to the candidate’s experience, setting, and learning needs.
Does contacting Acuity mean my supervision is approved?
No. An initial conversation is only a fit discussion. Candidates and supervisors must complete the applicable Oklahoma Board process, and supervised hours should not begin until the required agreement has been approved.
What may be discussed in clinical supervision?
Supervision may include theory, case conceptualization, ethical decision-making, documentation, professional identity, cultural humility, boundaries, therapeutic relationships, and sustainable clinical development.
What does Whitney expect from candidates?
Candidates are expected to communicate openly, participate actively, remain receptive to feedback, follow ethical and documentation standards, and take responsibility for their professional growth. Reading or other learning activities may be assigned between supervision meetings.
Are supervision format and fees listed online?
